ABOUT ME
My name is Claire Wood. I am an 18 year old area IV eventer based in Missouri. If you can't tell already I have an extreme passion for horses! I started riding when I was about 10 years old and have been riding ever since. My main focus is with eventing but I also have lots of experience riding and competing western as well as hunter jumping. Another passion of mine is photography! I enjoy photographing horses, people, and any other animal. I have an amazing boyfriend, Denton, who supports me in all of my equine ventures as well as photograph and video tape me and my horse on our journey. So yeah basically all I do is horses!

Currently I ride my horse River aka Deep Gulch (his jockey club name). He is a 17hh bay OTTB and he is 8 years old. I just recently rescued him after his racing career and am retraining him to be an eventer and aspire to keep moving up as much as we can! He is an amazing talented horse but he also has a crazy side to him! He is a big challenge for me and I can't wait to see how far me and this big guy make it! He was abused while he was on the track, therefore he is very scared of most people and is extremely head shy. He has a lot of work to do, but is improving tremendously and I love him with all my heart.
